New Excitement From the New Kids

As some of you may or may not know I am a HUGE New Kids on The Block fan. (That's right, I said it! ;) And, I'm super excited because while on thier "resting up" period (after a year long tour around the world supporting their lastest effort "The Block" http://nkotb.com ) four of the New Kids have been very busy in the studio, hosting parties around the country, finding a cure for breast cancer research and looking for "the next big thing."

First up, we have Donnie Wahlberg aka DDUB. The bad boy with a big heart. (Donnie on Twitter )He just released two, count e'm, two, singles! Much to the delight of fans everywhere! The first single released, "Rise N Grind" and second, "I Got It" Feat. Aubrey O'Day of Danity Kayne fame (Aubrey on Twitter). Both, very much hip hop influenced records being co-produced by Sticky Fingas. Both available for purchase now on iTunes. He's been hosting sold out "I Got It" parties across the States and Canada. Recently you could have caught him in Toronto with special guest and fellow New Kid Joey McIntyre, in Columbus he was with Aubrey O'Day and rumors are flying that Jordan Knight (also co-New Kid) will be joining Donnie's party in Atlanta!

Speaking of Mr. Jordan Knight, the "lead" of New Kids has been recording his own solo album and is on a mission to find new talent! (Jordan Knight on Twitter) "Jordan Idol" (tentatively called) started in Boston when he was recording, fans were waiting outisde the studio, so he posted a blog of them singing. He's on a mission to find a new star who has "IT". From Boston, Jordan went to Nashville, from Nashville to New York, and from New York to Atlanta. Some say the next stop may be in Miami, hometown of Danny Wood. For a better understanding of what Jordan is looking for check out this video. Jordan's next event is in Atlanta, get tickets here.

Joey McIntyre has Officially released his new single "Here We Go Again". Available on iTunes week of Nov. 16 2009. (Joey Mac on Twitter) His new melody-induced record transports fans inside his head for the past year. I personally give it 2 thumbs up! It's been on repeat ALL day! In fact, 32 fans were hand picked by Joe and are featured in his new video for "Here We Go Again" shot in L.A. in October of 2009. The video for "Here We Go Again" will be released soon! Joey will also be going on tour in support of his new album! It's rumored that Joey will be visiting cities in the States, Canada and perhaps Europe. Make sure to check out his official website for more details.

Danny Wood suffered the loss of his mother, "Betty" Wood, from breast cancer over 10 years ago. Ever since then he has been fighting to beat this disease. On tour with the New Kids, Danny offers the fans a chance to buy tank tops and make donations to the Suzan G. Coleman Foundation. (Danny's effort on Facebook) Danny has put out a new CD with all proceeds benefiting the foundation. (Danny on Twitter) Danny's CD  "Stronger: Remember Betty" features 12 new tracks and is keeping his mother's memory alive. Please do your part and support the fight against breast cancer!

Upcoming is the NKOTB Christmas Party in Boston on Dec. 20, 2009 benefiting Toys for Tots. Tickets go on sale soon and only about 2,300 are available. New Kids are also hosting a Cruise on Rose Tours departing from Miami in May 2010.

What the Fans "Say": Speculation has begun that new New Kids album is in the works and a new tour will kick off after the cruise just in time for summer. Perhaps we will see a new NK DVD release near Christmas?

Needless to say, New Kids should be credited for stimulating the economy! haha!

Much Love, LeeAnn. :)
