Pipe Dreams and Possibilities

For the most part, my head is a happy place to escape. I spend an awful lot of time daydreaming... imagining scenarios playing out before me, mulling over possibilities and untapped potential... Of course, it doesn't pay to pine over dreams that just ain't gonna happen, or to never work to see others to fruition. I try to protect myself and keep it real... even in dreamland, I know what's real and what's ridiculous (though ridiculously delightful). Here's a list of my pipe-dreams and real-life hopes:
PIPE DREAMS:
-Really, REALLY sing (I'm talking bring-the-house-down, Aretha Franklin quality! The kind of voice that's born, not trained)
-Become a medical doctor (not for the money or the prestige... I'd want to work for Doctors Without Borders)
-Drive Formula One racecars
-Run marthons/triathlons... or just love running in general... (I HATE to run. It hurts, and it makes me miserable... but I admire real runners so much. I want to love it like they do.)
-Get involved in politics (I DO want to make a difference!)
POSSIBILITIES:
-Learn to quilt (My great-grandmother was a quilter and a knitter, and the quilt she made for me is one of my most precious possessions. I want to continue her legacy... plus, I have design ideas for a couple of bedspreads that I'm itching to make!)
-Learn to play the piano and guitar (I'm not asking to be Slash or Mozart... just a little G, C, D so I could play praise songs for my nieces and nephews)
-Visit all the continents before I'm 40 (I've actually made progress on this one)
-Become FLUENT in Espanol, and have limited understanding of at least one other language
-Write a great book that does some good (make people laugh, make them more intraspective... any good thing, really)
