Alice In Wonderland
By jenisedai, Sunday, March 14, 2010I was a little leary of taking my kids to this one. I have a 6 year old and a 4 year old, and people had been telling me that it was too dark and not appropriate for young kids. But these are kids that have seen all of the Harry Potter movies, all three Lord of the Rings movies, and they LOVE Charlie and the Chocolate Factory. So I decided to take a chance on it. And I was right- they loved it! There was only one scene where my 4 year old hid his face- the Jabberwocky scared him- but within a minute he was looking again and getting really into the action. And no bad dreams (my kids rarely have those about movies anyway). I must be raising some media savvy kids, though, because both of them agreed that this scene or that character "must have been done on computer". So if you have kids that are into other Tim Burton movies they will do will in Alice. If you have kids that get scared in standard Disney fare then probably best to keep them away. But me and my odd children absolutely loved it!
