Gut Punch: Blasting Back at My Belly
By LauraO, Thursday, March 10, 2011I'm committed to three self-improvement changes this year, to drink more water (blek, whoever said drinking water gets easier the more you do it was wrong, water still tastes like nothing), to sleep better (I'm getting there with my arsenal of nighttime vitamins) and to blast my lifelong belly fat.
I know how to blast belly fat, balance my hormones (long story there, another post), which I've done, exercise which I do every day, and reduce my carbs, which I won't, because carbs are a mood food and they make me so, so happy. I do however, eat mostly the healthy kind of carbs, beans, brown rice, etc.
And, isn't wine a mood "food" carb?
I've been doing a lot of research on how to lower cortisol levels, the stress hormone that can give you a gut even if you're lean everywhere else. I just wrote an article about how Holy Basil can help reduce cortisol, and research shows that vitamin C can help too.....
I'm willing to age gracefully, to tell the world my age (45), to accept (and color) the gray hairs I found this year, but I'm sick and tired of working my butt off at the gym only to still grab my abs and feel a hearty handful of fat.
Enough already belly, time go......
