About Me

More about Me: Four years ago, I became intriqued with the world of Chocolate-Making. I later took a series of courses and fell in love with making edible creations with chocolate. I had my own little chocolate factory, and on occasion, I'll still make customers their classics. Chocolate-covered strawberries, Chocolate-covered pretzels, cookies, candy and so much more. Chocolate to me was a delicacy that I shared with customers, it was and still is...a self-indulgent treat.  Because my customers loved the treats so much, I created and taught an introductory course entitled Candy Making with Chocolate for all the chocoholics. Shortly after teaching ,I began writing again. I experienced writer's block after self-publishing a children's book entitled, "Kidz Power"(2001). In 2008, I self-published my second book entitled,"Crossing the Burning Sands". In my writing career, I've learned that I write because I'm passionate about what I'm trying to convey to my readers.  Substance always wins over style. Whether I'm sending out queries to book publishers, or submitting play or movie script submissions, I will continue to express my thoughts through writing

Favorite Music: Contemporary jazz.

Favorite Books and Writers: My favorite book is the Bible because it is the road map of daily living. My favorite writer is Tyler Perry because his stories have a profound message.

I am most proud of: I am most proud of the fact that I am a single mom. Believe me... it wasn't easy. Through that difficult time in my life, my daughter, Amani, graduated in 2008, with honors. She is enjoying her college life majoring in Psychology.

I am most guilty of: Living the life as a single mother, I had to work two sometimes three jobs to keep a roof over our heads. As a result, I missed two years of her high school life. I felt guilty because I couldn't spend quality time with her. I worked 13 hours a day.

The world would be a better place, if only: Racism and prejudice was eradicated. It would be a better place if people loved one another as they love themselves.

Words I live by: We are all destined for greatness. If we tap into the gifts and talents that are God-given
the world will benefit from our greatness.
