Born into a middle-class military family in 1976, my mother worked to make sure my early years weren't defined by the rare muscle disorder that I was born with. Now, standing only 4 feet tall, my life's journey so far has included all the usual milestones and heartaches that every young woman has enjoyed and endured, in addition to a few others. Accepting my identity as a Little Person with a disability, but refusing to be defined by it, has allowed me to live life to its fullest.
I am currently living in San Jose, CA with my husband, Andrew. I am a Communications and Marketing Coordinator, who likes to write and do graphic design. When I am not at work, I enjoy cooking, gardening, shopping and yes, the occasional night on the dance floor!
Favorite Music: I love music! My favorite genres include Pop, R&B, Adult Contemporary, Jazz, Blues, Hip-Hop.
Favorite Books and Writers: Yikes! Who has time to read? Is it coming out on film?
I can't live without: Husband, family, friends, puppies, Pepsi, Doritos, chocolate, my computer.....
I am most proud of: In action what I am most proud of is graduating from college. In life what I am most proud of is always honoring my spirit.
I am most guilty of: Watching too much reality TV and eating too many desserts before dinner.

Interests: At 35 years of age I am finding that I am still figuring out what life is all about. I'm always learning, growing, evolving. A (somewhat) newlywed I continue to discover the joys of marriage. In my spare time (like I know what that is) I enjoy doing my freelance graphic design work, blogging, personal organizing. Oh yes, in addition to spending time with family and friends, shopping, movies and of course, the occasional cosmopolitan :)

About Me: I am 35 years old and live in the San Francisco Bay Area with my husband, Andrew. I am a Communications Coordinator for Silicon Valley Independent Living Center. I am a writer, graphic designer and disability activist. I also love personal organization, music, being creative and spending time with friends and family.
