viewsSome things I would tell little kid me if I went back in time
By JodyGrownup, Thursday, May 5, 2011, 1 comments- Don’t think about The Future so much.
- There are no monsters beneath your purple ruffle-y bed. Worry more about the kid across the street who likes to play with lighters.
- Splash in every puddle you see.
- Give the geeky boy a second thought. He really makes you laugh when you think about it.
- Your permanent record actually only begins in high school. Those nuns have told you whoppers about a lot of things.
- Always get an ice cream from the ice cream truck.
- Don’t ignore that nagging gut feeling that you should step up when that one kid gets teased at school. It’s nagging for a reason.
- Give away your toys only when they’re unfun, not because they’re baby-ish.
- Tell Mom you think she’s cool.
- You’re right about capping your math studies at sixth grade. You’ll never use algebra. It’s true.
- Ask Grandpa to share more wild stories from his FBI days. He’s older than you realize. Give him oodles of bear hugs.
- Keep up your fourth-grade Lamb News reports on the playground at recess. Those fifth graders like it. Ignore the fourth-grade boys. They're either stupid or they secretly like you. Seriously.
- Forget sleeping in on snow days. Build a snowman village that stops traffic.
- No need to be so good all of the time. When you still have little kid cuteness, you can get away with a lot more.
- When you don’t how to handle a situation, pretend you have a little doll in your pocket who tells you the perfect answer. Do whatever pops into your head first.
- Say your jokes aloud. Who cares if you’re the only one who laughs.
- Tell that one snooty, make-fun-of-everyone girl she had a piece of lettuce jammed between her front teeth for a whole day. Two days later.
:)

ha! Especially love the last one. I've been talking to my little kid on and off for weeks now; glad to see I'm not the only one!
