Freaky Friday?
By jennymaxwell, Friday, February 24, 2012There's a tornado watch posted, a Ryan Gosling look-alike on the loose, and Columbia getting a little fame for something not ridiculous--talk about the perfect storm.
For me it started when the mayor asked us, on Twitter, to stay off the roads because of the weather. So instead of frittering away time running errands, I've frittered it away on the internet. That led me to discover @JoeyThompson23 of Columbia and his video "How to Look Like Ryan Gosling."
Thompson's video is getting lots of views and he's supposedly campaigning for an appearance on Ellen. Whether he gets himself on Ellen or no, maybe we can get him in a skirt.
More time twittered away, and I discovered that one of Columbia's excellent food trucks has made Smithsonian Magazine's top 20 food trucks in the U.S. Congratulations to Bone-In Artisan Bar BBQ (@artisanbbqtruck).
I've been known to ride my bike over to pick up a little lunch from the Bone-In truck. I'm also a fan of 2 Fat 2 Fly (@2FAT2FLYWINGS), whose wings I had for the first time at Columbia's Mardi Gras party this past weekend.
I saw on Twitter that the food trucks had to cancel their lunch plans today, because of the weather. And now, I've just heard a loud boom from down the street. Probably a transformer--back to Twitter while my power holds out, to see what I can find out about that too. (Sure hope it was a boom caused by the weather and that we haven't lost @USCSquirrel!)
