Pajamas are for Home!
By Jennmck48, Thursday, December 30, 2010, 2 commentsNoticed lately that the new trend is to wear your cute pajamas to the store? Sorry, call me old fashioned but I think this is tacky. What next? Wearing your bra and panties? Oh, I was too tired to put some clothes on, so I just thought I would come naked. Really?
How hard is it to throw some jeans or sweats on? I saw on television that there are some new pajama jeans. I won't be purchasing. This will be the new trend and we'll see those people at Wal-Mart with guts hanging over the top (sorry but...).
I've been sick plenty of times where I had to crawl out of bed to go to the drug store for something but I put my sweats or jeans on, brushed my hair and threw on shoes. OR, I simply asked a family member or friend to go for me.
Why has it become a trend to look sloppy? Has laziness become the new in thing? When I would take my son to high school in the mid-2000's, I saw girls walking into school in their pajamas bottoms and a t-shirt, with hair unbrushed and big furry slippers. I'm not quite sure how schools are allowing this because it's almost (and I say almost) as bad as the low riding pants.
I encountered two grown men the other day in a store who had pants around their thighs. They were clean, pressed, the men looked nice except for the sagging. Ugggh!!!
So, it's just not cool to wear pajamas in public in my book unless of course there is an emergency of some sort. I'm just not sure what that emergency would be unless it's for your child!

I agree
I have seen the same trend emerging over the past 1-2 years here in germany and I thing it's horrible. First it was the track pants, now it's the pajamas...and i bet you are right & we are going to see bras or at least bath robes....
Could not agree less
really true!...there should be some fines applied for this "sight-offender"...don't you think?? LOL..
