Making fun of blogs

I've come across a couple of people recently who made fun of blogs.  I sat quietly each time listening to their sarcastic comments and their laughs.  I wondered why they think they are so silly.  After all, blogs are an excellent way for people to help others, to vent, share experiences and make others THINK. I think that's my favorite part of blogging...making others think about things. And no, I didn't ask them why they thought blogs were so silly when usually I would interject.

I haven't written in awhile as I was recuperating from a splenectomy. I had my spleen removed and thank God, no cancer.  I have reflected a lot on life and what is to come. Each day is a new journey with the unexpected. When people go through things they should have a place to go and talk about it.  A blog makes a perfect place for that.

Maybe blogs centered around a person and their happenings seems a bit self centered and maybe they are for some. But, most blogs I've come across have been interesting and helpful.  They have helped me with computer issues, family issues, kids, and health concerns.

So, I say kudos to all of us blog writers out there.  Keep it up and continue to share your knowledge.  We're all a bit smarter for it.
