Jenniefromthe603's BLOG obsession

Theknot.com graciously (and without prompting) informed me Friday that there are 114 days left until my wedding.  And this is what I thought about today when I ordered an egg white omelet in the café at breakfast and then in Weight Watchers when I reluctantly meandered up on the scale.  114 days.   114 DAYS!!!!!!!!!!!  114 days until I turn from a Maid to a Matron. - A singleton to a wife. – Put on that dress (god I love that dress).
 
Insert non-sequitor here (Ok, I admit, I’m a little rusty. I haven’t blogged in awhile so my witty wheels need a little WD-40, so there's no quick witted segue from one thought to another -we all have our crosses to bear.) 
 
I’ve developed a new habit.  I read blogs.  Copious amounts of blogs.  Which may not seem strange for a self proclaimed blogger but I will admit Jenniefromthe603 was not a good blog reader before.  But this is 2011!  I’ve turned over several new leafs (leaves?)  So now I read blogs.  All kinds of blogs.  Blogs about weddings, and blogs about tv shows and blogs about crafting, and blogs with cartoons, and blogs about weddings, and blogs of other bloggers, and blogs about weightloss and blogs about babies AND ::big sigh:: I’ve discovered DIY blogs.  I’m finding myself getting lost in the maze of DIY blogs (it’s kinda like Wikipedia- you click a link and then another and then another and then before you know it’s 1am you drank the whole bottle of wine and you are sitting on the couch without pants on with a bottle of spray paint and hammer in hand….) I’m also finding something mysterious is happening while I’m reading the DIY blogs – I am getting really motivated to Do things myself. 
 
Here are just a few of my favorite DIY blogs (because I’m a sharer);
Younghouselove - I'm having serious blog and house lust with this one.  I feel like I know these people- like I call them in a conversation by name.  I may be crazy but their blog is fantastic.
Centsational Girl- This woman has a sense of style that I can only hope for.  She has recently inspired me to paint an Abstract for my office. 
View Along the Way - I just love how simple this woman makes even tricky DIY tasks.  BIG FAN!!

More importantly here are my Do it myself projects I’ve got cookin’-
 
I’m making curtains- LOTS o CURTAINS
I’m spray painting a ceramic duck
I’m making a collage of frames 

We made a litter box out of a rubbermaid container.
 
These are just a few, and I think I will share my adventures with you- good -bad and ugly.
 
And we’re back to the knot…so I was reading on theknot.com the other night completely ignoring every living thing near me. I was engulfed in an article about pre wedding beauty routines.  “At four months begin your beauty routine.”  I had an o’shit moment got off the couch without saying a word and zombie walked into the bathroom to begin my four months pre wedding beauty routine.  Here I am, ten ‘o clock at night after a long day showering and trying to figure out a beauty routine because the knot says so. 

First things first, I haven't shaved my legs for what feels like an eternity and nothing says hot and sexy bride to be like unshaved legs that resemble Harry (from Harry and the Hendersons?).  I use one of those razors that has the battery operated bikini shaver on one end (which I’ve never actually used because I’m afraid of putting a battery operated sharp object down there).  I stick the razor in my mouth while I slather on shaving cream (It's ten at night and I'm still multi tasking...) and the razors turns on.  I’m now perilously close to bikini waxing off my FACE which I’m pretty sure is not included in anyone’s pre wedding beauty routine.

I freak out- which includes the flailling around of all four of my limbs which causes every bottle to come crashing down on my toes.  At this point I've come to the conclusion I might not need a pre wedding beauty routine because I might be the kind of girl who's pre wedding beauty routine causes her 1,000th trip to the ER.
