So we're leaving...well, not really!
By hnagel, Friday, October 14, 2011, 3 commentsThe last few weeks and months have been a little crazy for us at skirt.com. While we've been recovering from the creative conference, we've also been pulled into other projects and initiatives by the corporate company that owns the skirt! brand, Morris Communications Company, LLC. It's an exciting time for our company since it has taken the steps to completely transform into a digital-first company. What that means, is we are taking all of our brands and transistioning them into digital-first, then to print entities.
At skirt.com, much of this has already taken place with the growth and transisiton of our digital only markets and the focus on our wonderful community of bloggers and online readers. Media companies such as ours are utilizing every single digital resource they have which is why Angelia Spell (Webmaster) and I have been asked to take on new roles of digitally rebranding our our company and the launch of our digital communications. You can read more about it here along with the news that we're hiring a 3 star general. (Not sure if I'm supposed to salute, but I'll let you know!) We're changing at the speed of light.
The good news is that we will still manage skirt.com and still be here, but you will see some changes and additional people helping out. We love this site, this community and each and every one of you. I'll be posting more information about the changes as we progress through this uncharted territory.
If you have any questions, please let us know.
Peace, love and skirt!

Very exciting! I'm not
Very exciting! I'm not surprised that you two have been chosen to help lead the way to the digital future. This is already one of the most progressive and THE most supportive female-centric sites in digital media. And that support comes everyday from you... I look forward to hearing more and cheering you all on! If I can help in any way just shoot me a note and I'll be glad to. Sending you vibes for a great transition! Xoxo
I can't say that I totally
I can't say that I totally understand the changes, but CONGRATS to everyone at Skirt! with new swanky jobs and titles.
