Josef Kirk Myers envisions the future with Visualive.
By margaret, Thursday, January 5, 2012For Josef, it was a recurring case of procrastination that jumpstarted the idea of Visualive. As a Sony Music marketing rep, he was responsible for papering the Holy City with flyers and posters as well as online promotions for upcoming concerts and music releases. “I loved the online part, because it allowed me to literally wait until the last minute. If I waited until the last minute to distribute posters, I wouldn’t be able to get it all done. I thought, ‘Wouldn’t it be nice if I could just do it all online?’” Today Visualive, his company, has a network of flat-screen TVs around town (see their locations at visualive.tv) with rotating digital DIY shout-outs for area events and specials, acting as the twenty-first century version of the coffeehouse corkboard. “It’s been the biggest challenge I’ve ever faced, I can’t imagine that I’ll ever be challenged later in life as much as I am now.”
