Just DO it!

You should always have a soundtrack when you are buying plane tickets to exciting exotic places. Especially if you are doing it alone without telling anyone.

 

Why is it that so many people in this world say they want to do stuff and then don’t? Is that ridiculously arrogant of me? Yeah, I’m American and educated and young. Those are all helpful. But what about all my other young, single, American, educated friends? Seriously I don’t even care about the ones that don’t say they want to come, but I’m beginning to develop a serious annoyance—really, that’s the soft term for whats also coming to mind—for those people who say they so so so want to come and even talk about making plans but never do.

 

Its like they think there is some secret code or perfect moment for this stuff. Well, guys, here is the secret:

JUST DO IT.

 

Stop stuttering and puttering and pittering and notevenlookinguptickets. Go! Its up to you! Make your stuff happen, or it aint freaking going to.

 

Jeeeeezus! I am so freaking tired of them not getting that. Just do it, or don’t; stop talking about it as if youre waiting for IT to come to you. Go to kayak.com, take the time off work, and be broke when you get back! End of story.

 

Oh, and P.S., if you ask your girlfriend to come live in Norway with you on the phone one day, don’t frigging disappear from all forms of communications for a WEEK immediately afterwards. She might do something nutty like buy tickets to South Africa for the summer instead.
