Where There's Parenting...There's a Punchline

I feel your pain Tina- oh and by the way, another brilliant blog. 

I was talking to a friend the other day, and you will be happy (or no)t, to know I used you an analogy... something like ( to my friend...) , "I know we think we are lousy parents, but this lady on skirt who is such a great parent. She had all these rules... she ran her household with an iron fist... and now, even SHE is  struggling with the teenage years." I am sorry for your pain but am glad I can commiserate... 

So, I appreciate your honesty and love the humor you find in all this , somehow, although I don't know how you do it. You are my modern day eye-rolling Erma Bombeck!  

Well...I look at it this way:  I can either try to laugh about it...or....feel like an epic failure as a parent ninety-nine percent of my waking hours.  Trust me:  nothing is funny when going through it.  I have to wait until something WORSE pops up to find my previous struggle ...... amusing.  With a new and battering struggle daily, it's nice to have the ""Real Housewives" to make us feel good, no?
