Back on track . . .

I've just returned from Jax, Florida - the place I found my first printed copy of Skirt . . . due to the recent loss of my father in December I've kind of had a sabbatical from Skirt (and blogging) . . . but last week I found myself sneaking about malls and diners looking for a copy of Skirt. To my dismay I couldn't find one, so I promised myself once I returned I'd get right back on that horse.

Here I am - back; a little older, a little hurt and bruised but back definitely more appreciative of life . . . and to make sure that I live it every single day as it comes.

Hope to reunite with some of my old 'skirt sisters' - and find a few new ones too.

Em, London

Good to see you

I'm sorry to hear about your father. I know how painful that can be. My dad died 9 years ago, but recently I've started doing crossword puzzles online, because it makes me feel closer to him. It was one of his favorite time-wasters. You've probably already found ways to keep your dad in your heart.

So glad that you're writing again.

Hi Ems, Good to hear a shout

Hi Ems, Good to hear a shout out from you... We've missed you here. How is your mother? Did she do her "walk"?

xxoo Susan

PS I am already SAD I won't be in London this year for New Years. I am afraid a big precedent has been set! LOL

Hey !

My mum is doing well - amazing in my books - 'thanks' for asking. Yes she did complete her walk raising her target of over £500 (appreciate your donation too - she was really astonished that someone who didn't even know her would sponser her) . . .

Have also missed my skirt sisters but think taking a break blogging was just something I had to do . . .

Will certainly be keeping in touch.

Em x
