About Me

Kids: My pets are my kids

Political Leaning: Liberal

Name: ELLEN LAMBERT

Occupation: MOTIVATIONAL WRITER AND SPEAKER

Education: BACHELORS AND MASTERS IN COMMUNICATIONS

Relationship Status: Married

More about Me: I'm living proof that there may not be happily ever afters, but there are definitely happy later-ons. I want, as Maya Angelou said, to be a blessing. When anyone is with me, hears me speak, or reads my words I want them to be encouraged and uplifted, and I hope I leave them if not laughing, smiling.

Favorite Music: Favorite piece ever, Nessun Dorma, from Turandot. Lovely, Pavarotti, Russell Watson. Standards, love songs and torch songs, Begin the Beguine. 70s music, anything Eagles. Streisand, Sinatra, Showtunes. Barry Manilow. Yup. I admit it.

Favorite Books and Writers: Father Andrew Greeley, Og Mandino, F Scott Fitzgerald, Jane Austin: Persuasion; St. Valentines Night; Dorthea Benton Frank, Pat Conroy, Beth Moore.

I can't live without: Love and laughter in my life. Then, recreation, rest, exercise, music, books, and chocolate. Then mascara.

I am most proud of: my resiliance -- I may have fallen a time or two but I've gotten really, really good at getting back up. I think every hard time I've ever been through was so I could help somebody else if they have to good through the same hard time.

I am most guilty of: Beating myself up and not forgiving myself. I have unreasonably high expectations of myself.

Words I live by: Joyce Meyer: "I may not be where I want to be but thank God I'm not where and used to be" and Isaiah 40:31 "They shall mount up with wings as eages; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk and not faint."

The world would be a better place, if only: We remembered the lyrics from Ronnie Dunn: 'We all bleed red, we all taste rain, lose or way..." We're humans. Doing the best we can. We all need encouragement, validation, support, and love.

Slogan: Soldier On! Only YOU Can Do What Must Be Done. (From Main Theme: St. Elmo's Fire)
