viewsTime, is different now
By elaynaalexandra, Saturday, March 13, 2010, 1 commentsToday I enjoyed simple pleasures. Late waking, a long talk with my mom, breakfast with DH and then throwing on clothes for a hike in our favorite park. Our feet falling feet into the snow, we walked across great expanses of beautiful sparkling snow. Later a drive and then lunch: bean, rice and cheese burritos with homemade salsa. We have friends and family coming to visit next week, and the week should be lighter at work too, giving me time to digest my first two weeks at a new job. Life has taken on a different shade now. It isn’t as frantic as it was in the past. Things are still tenuous financially on one income, with high medical costs. And there are still sharp edges, and occasionally a wrong word that lights fire to the quiet. However for the most part life has shifted, shifted to a place where every moment in the day feels valuable and important, not just a few as it was previously. I am getting ready think about real writing, art making and picking up my yoga practice again. I have a new sense of belonging that is new to be, but I am starting to really like the way it feels.

Glad It's Better
I am glad things are better for you. I know exactly what you mean about the place where ..." life has shifted, shifted to a place where every moment in the day feels valuable and important ." That is a beautiful place to be, and what a perfect description.
