One for the Money: Check it Out!

One for the Money was actually better than I thought it'd be.  My best friend and I went to see it Saturday, and I have to say I was pleasantly surprised about how much I enjoyed it.  Not only was it funny (comedic timing was really on point), sweet and charming, but it made me want to read the book.  Being an avid reader, it’s very rare that I go see a movie based on a book that I haven’t read, but it just so happens that I haven’t read any of the Stephanie Plum novels.  But after seeing the movie Saturday, I want to read them all.  I have to admit I was a little skeptical that Katherine Heigl was playing Stephanie Plum only because with her, a movie can be either a hit or a miss.  You know what I mean, right?  27 dresses, awesome, The Ugly Truth, not so much.  Killers, not that great.  Life as we know it, surprisingly good.  So I was a little worried this might turn into one where the trailer looked amazing, but the movie fell a bit flat of my expectations.  Luckily however, that wasn’t the case.  The movie was really good, and I would see it again in a heartbeat.  The storyline made sense and actually kept my attention; there weren’t too many moments where I was bored or wishing it would move along.  The only thing I didn’t like was the voice over of the main character, which got a bit annoying after a while.  But overall, they did a good job of sticking to the story and not straying from the main plot.  And now all I want to do is go read the books, find out all there is too know about Stephanie Plum, and I secretly hope she ends up with Ranger, the other bounty hunter who helped her learned the ropes and is super hot (or at least has a fling with him).  Anyway, if anybody’s looking to see a funny, heartwarming, suspenseful movie with a great cast, check out One for the Money.

One for the Money: Check it Out!

Yeah!

I'm going to see the movie Thursday with my mom. I've read most of the books, I got up to 12, I think. I'm not getting my hopes up because the movie is never as good as the book. But I can't wait. They should make it a TV series.

Definitely start reading them! I highly recommend the series.
