2012, So Far So Good

Well, my Christmas break has finally come to an end.  Tomorrow I go back to work, yet surprisingly, I feel good about that.  Don't get me wrong, I could always use a couple extra days of vacation, rest and relaxation, but I am actually ready to get back to my normal routine, see some of my coworkers and inquirie as to how their holidays went, and get back to the everyday grind.  So far, 2012 is looking pretty good.  I mean, I have a steady job, a wonderful boyfriend, an amazing family, a place to live, food to eat, clothes to wear, and some additional wants such as a Kindle and television that aren't necessary, but certainly make the time pass faster.  At the start of this New Year, I'm grateful for the many blessings in my life and am curious to see what great things await me over the next 363 days.  Today I'm going to hang out my best, and only girlfriend for a few hours so we can catch each other up on what's been going on in our lives.  I'm sure my boyfriend will enjoy having a few hours to himself as for the past week and a half it's just been the two of us, day in and day out.  And as much as I love him, sometimes it's nice to get away and have some time to myself.  What is it they say, absence makes the heart grow fonder, right?  Anyway, I have a few errands to run before I meet my friend so I'm going to head off.  Happy New Year my skirt! sisters!!
