...begins with the DVD release of the film 1000 Journals. During the summer of 2000 a San Francisco artist who simply called himself “someguy” released to the world 1000 blank writing journals – placing them in parks, restaurants and other public places with one simple statement: ‘This is an experiment and you are part of it.’ He asked for people to contribute and then pass them on. After 3 years, only 1 journal was returned.
The film is a wild treasure hunt to find out what happened to the other 999 lost journals and chronicles the collaboration of thousands around the world.
It also makes you ask yourself, would you be able to pass it on?
