Drowning Beautiful

A sea change.

Artist Jason de Caires Taylor creates life-size cement sculptures of people and sinks them down into the waters of South America where they become something so much more.

His works then turn into artificial reefs, attracting marine life and the neutral-toned exteriors of the sculpture begin to morph into bright, colorful canvases.

The sea has always been beautiful. But it just got even prettier.
