More about Me: What can I tell you about me? I always hate these questions because how do you write about a type A personality who can wear as many as a dozen hats in one day: wife, mother, sister, daughter, friend, counselor, business owner, caterer, chef, housekeeper, blogger, and the occasional dumb blonde. (I have my moments) I love my family and friends and thank God for all of my many blessings and every day I have to enjoy them. I am a music junkie and hate to admit but addicted to all of the HBO series especially Trueblood. For some reason I have an obsession with the recent rave of vampire love stories. Go figure? I run a boutique catering company specializing in smaller venues under 75 and in spring of 2011 I am opening a cooking school in Lexington KY offering cooking classes for all ages. Cooking up Fun is the name of the game…& my goal is to bring families back to the dinnertable. By teaching children and adults quick meal solutions, healthy alternatives, and increasing the confidence of families in the kitchen, I can help create stronger families. Stay tuned to my blog for recipes, time saver tips, and a how-to-guide in the kitchen so you too can begin cooking up fun with your family.
Favorite Books and Writers: I hate to admit it but twilight and the sookie stackhouse novels. I also love the Last lecture by Randy Pausch, I can read it over and over & I am always left encouraged.
Words I live by: Every story has an end but every end is a new beginning.
I can't live without: God....Extra Virgin Olive Oil...my blackberry....my computer...& my makeup, especially mascara...blonde eyelashes are not cute!
I am most proud of: My amazing daughter, husband, and family who give me inspiration, support, love, and strength to pursure my dreams.
I am most guilty of: Keeping up with the Kardashians & texting while driving...well not really while I'm driving but while I am stopped at a red light. Does that count?
The world would be a better place, if only: People could learn to be content in their present situations...I am all for ambition and drive, but if we could learn to be thankful for what we have been given in life versus dwelling on what we don't have.
