I don't regret the Wall Street mess~!
By Trasey G, Friday, October 10, 2008Boo Hoo! Am I suppose to feel sorry for all the money lost on Wall Street the last year? Basically, our society has been living in a credit fashion for so long now that we have forgotten how to live meaningful lives.
More importantly, we have taught our children the consumption games of the glamour crowd and if they don’t have the latest xbox or cell phone or brand shoe, they feel and look like dorks? Instead of asking them to read their books and invent or create, they sit for hours in front of the tv, texting on their cell phones, or giggling about myspace.
Look at all the creativity of all the beautiful new minds in the universe we are losing to the little ole concept of pas'sive·ness. During the Nashville presidential debate, one woman asked both candidates what would they ask us (the regular citizens) to do to help during this crisis. Not one candidate said turn off your tv’s and THINK THINK THINK what new ways we can create to better our individual minds. We are a collective mess!
Hopefully, this wall street slow down is going to turn our trips to the mall and constant go go go into opportunity to find out who we really want to be.
