Why do we have to get stretch marks?
Stretch marks are beauty marks and show that we have finally grown into our beautiful selves. They are the reminder of the wonderful children we have had or the 20 pounds that we have fought valiantly to lose. Stretch marks are the little scars of our lives that show who we are and what we have accomplished.

stretch marks a sign of living life
Stretch marks are a sign that we are living life with movement within our skin. I compare it to the rings of a tree, which shows the tree's history and life story, stretch marks too have stories behind them. Men have stretch marks too; you just can't see it under all that hair.
A map of our life
Stretch marks are the pull, push, and tug of life. They are like maps of trails we have traveled...not all connected because we don't always finish what we have started. Stretch marks are our battle scars from child birth and our badges of merit from our accomplishment. They are not pretty because life is not always pretty, but like any tough decision the reminder, as the stretch mark, fades with time!

Stretch-marks come from the extreme and relatively fast stretching of the skin, usually do to pregnancy or just fast weight gain.
Some people's skin is stretchy enough to handle it without getting really bad stretch marks, but most skin needs help. . .
When I was pregnant I did two things: didn't gain more than 20-25 lbs., AND I used the inexpensive "CocoButter" you can find in any drug store. Apply to your skin twice a day or once perday (right after your bath while skin is still moist). I have NO stretch marks.....
And I just LOVE the smell of that wonderful stuff !!! It's so chocolaty smelling..... (no you cannot eat it) :-)
