It's all propaganda!!!
By iscott, Wednesday, February 8, 2012I am not a big believer in celebrating a lot of holidays. The only ones I faithfully celebrate are thanksgiving and New Year's. Thanksgiving I celebrate, not because of the lies I was told as a child about the origins of thanksgiving, but because of what it has grown to mean to my family. It's a time of gathering and fellowship and that's something I will always cherish. There are many holidays that I can't stand because they have lost their meaning for me. One of those holidays is Valen tine's day. I feel like Valentine's day is nothing but a bunch of capitalist propaganda.

If only remembering co-workers birthdays were this easy.

Living small with a drawl
By ktelega, Wednesday, January 11, 2012How do you measure success? Does the one with the most toys win? I use the toilet bowl method. The fewer I have to clean, the more successful I am. Since my kids left home, I have been downsizing to the point where I have one bed, a couch, and a few mouse droppings. The mouse is living more lavishly than I am.

By justussayin, Thursday, January 5, 2012Mike, Daphni and I spent the day at the Roman Forum and the Colosseum, wandering through the ruins of a great ancient city. Their government and society were very advanced, yet many of their practices were barbaric by our standards.
