Onward, Upward, Back Over

The sealed brick fireplace, hearth strewn with fabric flower petals. The mirror I’m looking into while not-so-artfully applying eye shadow. And every part is mine for the summer.
But nothing worth remembering has happened here. Outside of this space, I’ve had months of new people, live music, walking bridges, writing in coffee shops, and relaxing on rooftops along the South Carolina coast.

I usually have a love/hate relationship with Facebook. At the beginning, in 2005, I loved it. It was the coolest thing to ever hit my college campus. We all added friends with the idea that this special networking tool would get us ahead in the career world. I was smitten by the idea of uploading photo albums for everyone to see.
