About Me

Kids: No kids

Political Leaning: Undecided

Name: Megan Works

Occupation: Fourth year English college student

Education: High school diploma, College Music Prep. Program, and will be starting my 4th year as an English major.

Relationship Status: Committed Relationship

More about Me: I love to also play and write songs on the piano, as well as sing, reading and understanding new literature, watching educational health and psychology shows, writing twenty-first century poetry, seeking out inspiration from all available realms, and to love life.

Favorite Music: How can I put forward all of the genres of music I love without running over the whole page? I love, LOVE all genres of music except for country (because of its extreme predictability in melody and drastic twang). However, my most favorite is Rhythm and Blues, Hip Hop, Pop, Christian, and Techno-Dance music. My favorite singers and bands include: Kesha, Pussycat Dolls, Lady Gaga (incredibly innovative), and KJ-52.

Favorite Books and Writers: My favorite books are: 1)Intensity by Dean Koontz
2)Tick Tock by Dean Koontz
3)Dreamcatcher by Stephan King
4)Misery by Stephan King
5)The Talisman by Stephan King
6)Fight Club by Chuck Palahniuk My favorite authors are: 1)Dean Koontz
2)Stephan King
3)Chuck Palahniuk

I can't live without: People, reading (novels, articles, and poetry), writing, communication, my relationship with God, music, seeing, smelling, hearing, touching, and tasteing.

I am most proud of: Knowing God, loving my boyfriend, loving people and animals, inborn gifts.

I am most guilty of: Trying to multitask more things than humanly possible at any one time.

Words I live by: Quotes: 1)Don't look at how far you have to go, look at how far you have already gone ~Author unknown.
2)Sometimes the most important things are the hardest to say, because words diminish them. ~Stephan King.
3)It's a small world, until you start chasing your hat down the street. ~Author unknown.
4)Don't ask for the world on a plate, because you just might get it. ~Alana Davis.
5)Always move forward at all points of your life, or dwelling and longing will become your daily bread. ~Megan Works.

The world would be a better place, if only: There was much greater equality of wealth among all individuals in a society; equality among the treatment of every nationality of people; if everyone followed God's advice.

Slogan: Save yourself from a despairing life, and make the necessary changes to create happiness.

About Me: While advancing through the first three years of my Psychology degree, I always had an uncomfortable nudge in my gut that told me that becoming a clinical psychologist was not the best future career choice. While being able to understand and appreciate a colossal range of mental health areas, writing research papers on such topics turned out to be one of my strongest assets. Since switching my major from Psychology to English, my desire for reading literature and writing critical articles has grown. I maintain my passion for researching issues on mental health that are most pertinent in the world media, as well as issues that have not yet gained excessive exposure. Within my articles, I aim help the public understand areas of human behaviour that are either difficult to wrap one's mind around, and/or have not recieved significant attention from mental health physicians.

Interests: Big group get-togethers, educating myself on psychology and health matters, knitting, reading, writing, drawing/painting portraits, inventing new and corky humour, trying new foods and beverages, my boyfriend, trying new things.
