About Me
More about Me: About me, gosh, there is a lot to say, but when I write it down it, all sounds as if I am auditioning for the part in someone else’s life. What there is to know about me you can see through my words, and in my writing. I always wanted to write but hadn’t the heart. Lots of reasons, but all having to do with one horrid teacher that wore flowery Avon perfume, but really all you could smell was her too tight girdle she hiked up over her bum. She maintained my voice and style were unacceptable to write prose. Later, if asked I would tell people I wanted to write, but never did. Then one day the noise in my life was too much I took refuge in a journal. Now… I write Fiction Spanglish (my name for my fictional/reality writing that I am so fond of--blurring the lines) Blogs posts Emotional dumping I live in San Francisco with my family. We’re a motley crew, there is Size One my daughter, Max the Jedi Knight wanna be, my son, my fat cat Beckham, and the husband. I’ve had the good fortune to live and work in multiple countries, which altered my view of the world. I like to fall in love and have crushes on things like books, music, colors, people, and places. I fall hard and weep inconsolably when my heart is broken, which can happen since I give without consideration. I am still standing, and will probably never change even though I tell myself I will change this part of me, but haven’t yet. Life is short, much too short to follow all the rules. ~Brenda
Favorite Books and Writers: Jane Eyre , Gone With The Wind, The Prince of Tides, Lonesome Dove, Atlas Shrugged, Désirée (old and hard to come by – it’s about Napoleon Bonaparte), The Eight, Collected Poems of Edna St. Vincent Millay. A few of them anyway; in addition to these authors I like Marion Keyes, Cathy Lamb (new discovery/new wrier). I recently discovered Stephen King – WOW—he is gifted writer with a love of language. Read his book on writing, and then give him a try. I read all the time, and will read just about anything. I prefer fiction because that is my preferred writing genre but I also read CNF, and memoirs as well. I ready Kitchen Confidential twice as well—funny, a talented writer.
I am most proud of: Finding my writer's voices
I am most guilty of: Some would say, speaking my mind
The world would be a better place, if only: If people spoke from their heart, and not their agendas and guarded selves
Words I live by: “You live but once, you might as well be amusing.”

About Me: I am a creative woman living in San Francisco. I have several pairs of ‘one size fits all’ pantyhose that I bought in a fashionable London Department store that stop half way up my ‘bum’. I figure when I can pull the ‘one size fits all’ hose over my bum that I will have body perfection. Secretly I am betting the odds against this red-letter day. A decade or so ago it occurred to me that no woman, whether she is a size 0 or a size 20, is truly, completely, 100% happy with the body she is putting in her jeans. It was a grounding moment, the mirror and I struck an accord. I'v accepted who I am and that something is probably missing, but it’s not something I’ve lost. I work as a Client Engagement Manager in Profession Services in the Social Media Space.
