A couple of weeks ago, I caught Eve Ensler, author of The Vagina Monologues, in an NPR interview. She was promoting her new book, I Am an Emotional Creature: The Secret Life of Girls Around the World. I've got issues with Eve's configuration of the "girl cell" (subject of a TEDtalk she gave at TEDIndia, also available online) but I'm on board with her rallying cry for all of us to live more compassionately and with greater vulnerability, to go by hard facts and the softer realities -- stories and relationships.
