As some of you know, I am a counselor for survivors of sexual assault and was really discouraged this past week.  Well, the case was against a 36 year old male who raped an 11 year old girl and he received 35 years in prison.  He has been in jail for the last couple of years and will actually serve a total of 15 years in prison for this sexual assault, he was facing life in prison.
