I know it seems like this election may be decided and over but it is NOT. We have seen in the past 2 elections that the poll numbers mean nothing. We HAVE to show up and vote. It doesn't matter if you are going to miss class, or miss work, or whatever. This is more important. You can get the notes from class, you can find a new job, but you CANNOT afford another four years of irresponsibility from Washington. We all know that if Obama is gonna win this, it HAS to be a landslide or it will be stolen out from under us yet again. Do you want to feel that disappointment again? Do you want to look back four years from now thinking "if only I had just sucked it up and stood in line"? I do not. I will be in line as long as it takes. I will be silently congratulating and thanking every single one of you that goes out and waits to choose the next president of the United States. We cannot afford four more years of favors to those who got McCain to the white house. We cannot afford four years of Sarah Palin's unethical business practices. We cannot afford more bad economic ideas. We cannot afford to overturn Roe v. Wade- one of the biggest and most important steps this country has taken to protect our constitutional liberties. We cannot afford to let Social Security slip by the wayside; we cannot afford our healthcare premiums as they are; we cannot afford to stay reliant on oil and other fossil fuels that will undoubtedly run out sooner than later. We must start making steps. Let's begin with the steps to the polls on Tuesday. Let's wait in line as long as it takes. Let's make sure that our voting machines are picking the candidate we have chosen. Let's not be afraid to ask for help. This is not the time for being scared to speak up. This election will NOT be stolen out from under us this year. Four years is a long time to wait for our chance again. Do whatever it takes to get out and vote. This election is far from over. Prove the media wrong and show that us young people know what is important and are willing to reach for it. Stand up for yourself and your right to vote!!!!!!!!!! Now get out there and let's do this, people! Let's make Barack Obama our next President of the United States of America! YES WE CAN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

McCain

Please vote McCain! He is far better than Obama! Obama is very scary and is so unChristian! Our country is in enough trouble without putting a man that pals around with terrorists in the White House!

Hi Song. I had to respond

Hi Song. I had to respond to your post. I appreciate your passion for McCain, but Obama does NOT pal around with terrorists. Unfortunately, you can't believe everything you hear in the media. One of the greatest things about this country is that we each can form our own beliefs and opinions on any and every topic out there. We all have different backgrounds and perspectives to bring to the table. Not everyone in America is Christian and while Obama IS a Christian, there would nothing wrong with him if he weren't. There are many wonderful, moral people in this world (and the US) that are not Christian, including myself (the moral part; still working on the wonderful part). =) I believe diversity is one of many great things about our country. We each have valuable perspectives to bring to the table, although they may not be the norm or popular perspective. I totally respect your opinions, but wanted to weigh in with my own. Respectfully, Melissa.

Melissa, thank you. I

Melissa, thank you. I appreciate the support. I am unwilling to get into an ideological argument with someone on my own blog, so I have been ignoring it. Thank you for being willing to so eloquently state your opinion- I agree with it completely. This country is not founded on the basis of Christianity (in fact, it is supposed to be founded on complete separation of church and state), and there is nothing wrong with not being a Christian (which is a moot point, since Obama is Christian). Tolerance.

Hi Song, I like your

Hi Song, I like your passion, too...but I must disagree strongly with you about Obama. Why is he scary? And why is he so Un-Christian? I pray that whomever gets in the White House will be supported, and if we disagree with Obama/Mccain's politics, we must get involved to change what we do not like about our country. We are all in this together...right? We need to come together, not separate ourselves. See you at the polls, Song! ~ Kim

Obama is not a Christian. A

Obama is not a Christian. A true Christian would not be for the killing of unborn babies. He would not be for homosexual marriage. Anyone who votes for Obama is not a true Christian IMO. Yes, this country was founded by Christian men. We have strayed so far from God and His commandments and our country is suffering for it. It will continue to suffer until we cry out to God for forgiveness and turn from our wicked ways. Please read 2 Chronicles 7:14. As long as we have leaders who ignore God's Word, the Bible, our nation is in serious trouble. I voted this morning! I voted for McCain/Palin! If Obama wins this election, it will be a truly sad day for America. God bless.
