About Me
Kids: My pets are my kids
Relationship Status: Married
Political Leaning: Other
Favorite Music: There isn't one genre of music that isn't on my iPod.
Favorite Books and Writers: "The Millenium Trilogy" by Stieg Larsson, Lisbeth Salander lives within most of us whether we want to admit it or not. I have never identified so much with a character in a book. . .except for the small boobs part. My boobs are great.
"Lost Horizon" by James Hilton, my all time favorite. It's not necessarily the best written or the most inventive, but it really speaks to me. I love it.
"Lonesome Dove" by Larry McMurtry. I've been reading that book once a year, every year, since I was 19.
"It" by Stephen King - scared the pants off of me.
ANYTHING and EVERYTHING by Pearl S. Buck (especially "Dragon Seed.")
I am most proud of: my marriage. It has provided me with the best education I could've ever hoped for.
I am most guilty of: occasional flakey-ness ("Sure! I'll come to your party. Wait. No. I can't.), recurring narcissism (which has lessened over time), over-indulging in Twizzlers.
The world would be a better place, if only: if people would hold themselves responsible for thier own feelings. There would be a lot less anger in the world.
Words I live by: I don't. I'm a different person every day. I can't have a mantra. We can't remember them all. . .
Interests: Unwholesome snack foods.
Profession: Super Secret Agent Spy
Slogan: "I've never done this before. Hold still, or it'll get messy." Lisbeth Salander
About Me: I'm me. I'm you. I listen to John Lennon and Kanye West and Paganini and I love them all. Sometimes I write. Sometimes, I don't. Sometimes I'm really funny and full of joie de vivre. Other times, I'm depressed, moody and full of. . .well, full of something else. I've missed my Skirt! outlet, so I'm happily re-joining the ranks in 2011. xoxo Please note: The image used as my avatar is an image taken from a painting called "Blue Tara" by an artist named Danielle Shazell. To my best knowledge, this acrylic on canvas painting is still for sale via fineartamerica.com. I am not affiliated with fineartamerica.com, nor do I know the artist. I simply want to give credit to the artist who created this lovely vision of the diety Blue Tara. The Blue Tara is one of the 21 Taras associated with Buddhist lore. Ekajati, as she is also known, possesses powers that remove fear, spread joy and remove personal hindrances on the path to enlightenment. Her mantra is unknown to the uninitiated, as it is considered especially powerful and, according to the Kamtrul Rinpoche can be dangerous. She is also known as Ugra-Tara - 'ugra,' meaning wrathful in Sanskrit.
