How Do I Add a Picture to My Blog?
By Skirt.com, Wednesday, September 29, 2010Adding a picture to your blog is pretty simple, but it does take a few steps so I have attached them below with pictures to help you along.
1. Either create a new blog or go into the edit tab of one you currently have posted and place the curser in the body field where you would like your picture to be added.
2. Then click on the Insert/Edit Image Tool in the tool bar at the top of the body box.
3. That will bring up the image properties box. You can either type (or copy and paste) the url if you are taking it from a website or if it is on your computer click browse.
4. Once you do so you will be taken to your files on skirt.com, click upload in the top left hand corner and then choose file in the middle of the page (when it pops up).

5. Your computer file box will come next (Yours may look a little different then this depending on the computer), find your file (picture) you would like to add and then click choose file at the bottom of the box.
6. You should now see your filename on your skirt.com file box at the very top of the page (right next to where you click browse earlier). Click upload.
7. Click on the file name (from the file list) and the picture preview will show at the bottom of the page. Double click on the preview picture to add the picture to the image properties box.

8. Back in the image properties box you will see the filename in the url and here you can change the size and alignment of the picture as needed. Pictures should be no more then 450 pixels in width (so if larger please change them before continuing). *Hint* when you change the width it will automatically change the height for you. When you are finished click ok at the bottom of the box.
That's it! You should see your picture in the body box of your blog (like below). If you need to go back in to change the size or alignment just click on the picture so it is highlighted and then click on the Insert/Edit Image tool in the body tool bar again. Then just finish your blog as normal and don't forget to save it at the bottom!
