She is constantly afraid of letting people down, putting their priorities in front of her own. She just dog-sat for a co-worker for four days, and when the woman came home, she "forgot" to pay my sister. And she just won't stick up for herself! I am in Clearwater, FL, while she swims with the sharks of NY, NY. Please help. How can you get through to someone who just can't see the obvious? Or refuses to confront it?
P.S. It's been awhile since I visited you, Skirt!, and I'm glad I'm back!

I think that if you are this
I think that if you are this worried about her then the two of you are obviously close. Tell her the things that you think she does that are strong. Let her know that you think it is wonderful that she is a kind and giving person, but also give her suggestions she can work with without pushing her own "niceness" too far at one time. She could just mention to her co worker that she had an unexpected expense and remembered the pet sitting... It takes a lot of work to get someone to stand up for them self but I assume that if you guys are sisters then she's worth the effort.
