Happy Notes

I have rediscovered the power of the hand-written word.

My relationship seems to have a new life, thanks to sticky notes being left all over the house spreading words of kindness. A simple, “It’s nice to see you this morning”, and “Thank you for cleaning the kitchen,” and “I’m happy to have you home,” can really brighten the day. I suggest you leave at least one person a happy note today!

I left a co-worker a card sharing some words of encouragement on Friday. Over the weekend I forgot about it, but this morning received a thank you e-mail. It’s nice to know that little things like that can make a big difference in someone’s day.

My Sunday was filled with wonderful conversation at Book Club, and then a game of Scattegories at a friend’s house. I have found that surrounding myself with literature, new words, and hand-written notes has enriched my otherwise routine life.
