The Ka-Ching Issue
By annamullins, Friday, March 5, 2010, 2 commentsI’m a very lucky girl. First and foremost, despite the current economic calamity we all hear about day in and day out, I have a job. After listening to an hour of economic news, it’s easy to feel like having a job is fortune enough. But the real fortune is that I like my job. This is something I have to tell myself regularly during a stressful week as deadlines rush towards (and sometimes past) me: “I love my job. I love my job…” But it’s no secret that publishing is a fading enterprise, and I find myself wondering if I haven’t set myself up for a life of stagnant finances. Perhaps I should find a job I love a little less, but pays a little more? Sure money can’t buy happiness, but it can buy that great dress I’ve been eyeing at Anthropologie. And if I can’t be totally happy all the time, I’d at least like to be well-dressed. But in the end, money often costs too much. If you’re doing something you love, everyday is rewarding. And that’s something you can bank on.

Sounds like you are
Sounds like you are thankful,Anna, and that goes a long way in life. I do interior design work, and it satisfies my soul, but not always my bank account, as well. I think we are really lucky, don't you?
Say It Again!!
It's not about the money. It's a Lifestyle Choice. It sounds to me like you made the right choice for you.Somehow it will all work out, it always does. (smile)
