Happy Thanksgiving! Hope You Get Lots of Pabo

I told you we were going international!  (”Pabo” means turkey.) But I also said we were going to the English-speaking world, so strike that. And I also said that I would see you after Thanksgiving, but I just couldn’t help myself.  I have some catching up to do.

You see, I was in Ecuador for a week, which is perhaps why I have an international focus lately.  Here are some pictures of places I went.  My bedroom in Guayaquil:

Pretty, isn’t it?  Anyway, let’s get you into another country, shall we?

Say you wanted to get a little cross promotion in New Zealand for your blog.  First, go to Google’s New Zealand site: www.google.co.nz.  Click the “Pages from New Zealand” button. Search for “blog.”  You will find a list of all sorts of blogs, about almost everything.  If you find one or more that resonate with you, leave a comment and your blog address.  Tell them what you’re all about.  Tell them what skirt! is all about.

You can also search for blogs about specific topics, like cooking (great NZ recipes), kids, moms who work, etc.  What was interesting to me was that when I searched for “women in New Zealand blog,” all the ads on the right side were about getting women!  Not exactly what I had hoped. But wowOwow.com’s blog was advertised there, which is the first I’d heard of it.  You?  Check it out, looks interesting.

And of course you can follow this formula with any other country you’re interested in getting some exposure in.

OH.  So I moved.  That’s the other reason why I’ve been quiet.  I’m now living full time in North Augusta with my fiancé.  :) Happiness.
