viewsBook Sales for Charity

I'm honored to have an essay included in Little White Dress, just released from Mill Park Publishing. 25 women (some never married, some happily so, some divorced) collaborated to share their thoughts on the wedding dress in poems and essays. I love seeing my name and words printed and bound. Someday I'd like to make money from that very same thing. For the time being, though, I'm proud of the fact that proceeds from the sale of this book go to charity. For this collection, Mill Park Publishing has chosen Dress for Success Boise Valley.
What they do (taken from their website):
Dress for Success Boise Valley began in the Boise Valley in 1999 and is dedicated to helping women break free of the cycle of poverty and government assistance by providing them with appropriate interview attire and coaching them in basic interview etiquette. Once they obtain a job they are invited back to recieve a second outfit and to join the Dress for Success Boise Valley Professional Women's Group (PWG). The PWG meets monthly and is a place where they learn practical tools for keeping their job and advancing their careers, as well, it provides a network with the other women.
If I can't yet make money off of my writing, I can at least feel good about who does. This is a really good cause. If you're so inclined to learn more about this project, you can do so here:
