My work: prosecutor for SC Department of Labor, Licensing, and Regulation. I prosecute (mostly) builders, contractors, and accountants for licensing violations.

I love: my sassy, adorable Pekingese Ruth Bader Ginsburg

My favorite possession:
my circa 1957 house, which I bought on my own in 2004.

My hometown: Lugoff, South Carolina

I’m thinking about: shaking things up! I seriously need a new project or passion, and I’ve been pondering what it will be.

Words I live by: “Do, or do not do. There is no try.” -Yoda

I can’t live without: passion, fun, and laughter

I am most proud of: my Wake Forest law degree

I’m inspired by: strong, fabulous, happy women—and I know and love too many to name!

What keeps me awake at night:
my caseload

The one item that has changed my life: Jillian Michaels’ 30-Day Shred DVD.  I never thought I was the “gym workout” kind of girl—now I know I’m tough and strong, and not just on the yoga mat!

Last major purchase: my Infiniti G35—I love that car more than a person should love a car!

My theme song: “Don’t Wait Too Long” by Madeleine Peyroux

If I could do it all over again:
I wouldn’t change a thing! Without my mistakes, how would I have learned all those valuable lessons?

The food I never want to eat again:
meat! Haven’t had any (that I know of) since 1992.

If I were a superheroine I would be:
Kay Scarpetta

The best thing I ever won:
the Kershaw County spelling bee

My best friend says I am:
“absolutely fabulous,” but she’s biased!

I still can’t get the hang of: getting to work earlier than 9

I wish I’d known: Not to worry so much!  It will work out.

Something most people don’t know about me: I hated law school, but insanely love being a lawyer.

My mother always said: You can do anything you put your mind to.

My first job:
teaching dance to small children in Camden, SC

Early bird or night owl? Neither anymore! I need my sleep now that I’m pushing 40!

I feel strongest when:
I’m in front of a judge or hearing officer, trying a case.

When I grow up, I want to be:
just who I am!

At the end of a long day, the first thing I want to do is:
sip a flute of bubbly

I wish…the New York Times delivered to 29204
