My work: I design and create handbags (Julie Wheat Design) made from 80% or more recycled, end of stock, and/or vintage materials.
My passion:
Making something out of nothing.
I love: Charleston!
My best bargain find:
My car.
My hometown:
Buffalo, NY.
I’m thinking about:
Visiting Portugal.
Words I live by: ‘
Little said is easy mended’
I can’t live without: My Nate (who is my husband).
I am most proud of: My brother.

I’m inspired by: Traveling.
What keeps me awake at night:
Ideas.
One thing I never want to do again:
Get my passport stolen in a third world country.
I am guilty of:
Eating berries straight from the patch at U-pick farms.
The one item that has changed my life:
my Master’s Degree and certification as a Superintendent of Schools.
Favorite website:
eBay.com
Last major purchase:
40 yards of black and white houndstooth upholstery fabric.
The nickname I wish I had:
I like mine - "Wheat."
My theme song:
"Back in Black," AC/DC.
If I could do it all over again: I would’ve lived in NYC for at least a year
.
My favorite body part: Arms.
The food I could eat every day:
Raspberries.
The food I never want to eat again:
Geflite fish.
If I were a superheroine
, I would be:  Wonderwoman.
My blog: juliewheat.blogspot.com
The most important thing I ever lost: Track of time, and I do it all the time!
The best thing I ever won:
A 2-carat blue Ceylon sapphire.
My best friend says I am:
Crazy. In the best way possible.
I still can’t get the hang of:
Cross-stepping (on a longboard).
I wish I’d known:
That you don’t always have to take the safe bet.
The world would be a better place, if only:
They stopped selling bottled water.
I’d like to learn to:
Facet gemstones.
Something most people don’t know about me:
My married last name is spelled W-e-g-r-z-y-n-o-w-i-c-z and it’s pronounced ven-jen-O-vitch.
My mother always said:
"You’re too young for a nap."
The worst idea I’ve ever had:
Trying out for a Rugby team when studying in the UK.
My first job:
A face-painting clown.
What are you most vain about?
My clothes.
Whose diary would you most like to read?
My grandmother’s.
Best one-liner you ever heard:
"You win the fur-lined teapot" (this was one of my Grandpa’s).
Early bird or night owl?:
Night owl.
Favorite color and why?:
Black - it goes with everything; it’s all colors.
When I grow up, I want to be:
Awww…do I have to?
At the end of a long day, the first thing I want to do is:
Surf.

Always... do your best.
Never
... doubt yourself.
I wish
… for more wishes.
